Steve Kahane is a certified residential appraiser outside of Houston, TX. He transitioned from commercial properties to residential after moving from Chicago to Texas 16 years ago and has appraised properties ranging from $1 to over $100 million. He is a member of the National Association of Appraisers and Association of Texas Appraisers and was the recipient of ATA’s 2015 Outstanding Service Award for the Houston region. He has advocated on appraiser’s behalf to the Appraisal Foundation, Appraiser Qualifications Board and Texas Appraisal and Licensing and Certification Board. He has presented seminars to hundreds of Houston Realtors® about why appraised values may differ from contract price and other appraisal challenges for real estate agents.
